Music Lessons
Peripatetic Teacher Information
As you may be aware we are able to offer instrumental and vocal lessons in school with qualified music teachers from Year 2 upwards. If you would like your child to have lessons in school, please contact them directly. Please contact them directly as soon as possible.
For your information, fees are due at the start of each term and billing is done directly by the teacher to parents. Costs are dependent on the number of teaching weeks in a term and the arrangement of groups which is an arrangement between you and the individual teacher. Most will offer a number of options for you to choose the most appropriate one for your child. The teachers will confirm their current rate with you directly.
Please remember that if your child begins lessons that:
- It is a serious commitment and children are expected to practice at home a minimum of 3 times a week
- Fees are due at the start of each term although fee remission is available for those children in receipt of Free School Meals. The charge is not a voluntary contribution and your child will not be entitled to receive tuition unless payment is made.
- No refunds are given if your child is absent/on a trip or if they have forgotten their instrument. If a teacher misses a lesson, then these will be made up during the year.
- Parents are responsible for any damage or loss to the instrument (minor repairs are free) and the hiring arrangement will now be done direct between the parent and the music service.
- If you wish to stop lessons you must give half a term’s notice in writing.
